I just got a second hand Mortian super heavy tank. It was pretty badly smashed up, but with some TLC, it is now looking pretty good. It did not come with any sponsons, but I had some spares from some other Mortian tanks I’ve bought, so with some light conversion work, the big girl has been upgraded with some serious firepower, rivalling baneblade class tanks. All sponson guns are magnetised so I have both heavy bolter and heavy flamer options.
The tank also came with a massive plasma cannon main weapon, which is even cooler than the two big guns. Unfortunately, the main gun mantlet is glued in hard, so I am not sure how I can make the guns interchangeable yet.
Sizewise, this tank is 25cm long including the dozer blade, 10cm to the highest point, 14cm wide to the sponsons, or 18 including the sponson guns. I don’t have a baneblade anymore, but I believe the measurements are fairly similar. While the normal baneblade chassis is fine, I think this one, with its Macharius style, is even cooler.
