Urdeshi pattern AFVs

I’ve finally gotten around to painting up most of the IFV variants I converted up for my PDF and renegades. These tanks are made by a combination of Old Crow tanks and turrets, ramshackle games tracks, plasticard and various other bits. Still missing are the “allegiance” bits, which will be magnetized to allow them to […]

Battle for Vogen 09 – drop troopers

With the rebel vanguard delayed, the planetary defence forces managed to stabilise the front line in the 7th district. The prepared defensive position discouraged rebel attempts to push further into the city. There were still fighting raging elsewhere, with stranded PDF units further out being picked off, or rebels terrorising and infiltrating the central districts.

Battle for Vogen 08 – Rearguard

After pushing through the chaos of District 13, the remnants of Jeager and Captain Scheider’s men had managed to link up with other PDF forces. Now about regiment strength, they were suborned to a Major Steinvik, the highest ranking officer of the motley group. Communications with HQ had been somewhat reinstated, and the group had been designated as Battlegroup Steinvik, with orders to regroup and hold District 7.

Battle for vogen 07 – into Ashshore

They split up in smaller groups and passed through several districts with only minor firefights. Most of the rebels seemed content on looting and pillaging in the anarchy left by leaderless PDF forces, moving about in smaller groups. Entering manufactorium district 9 however, rebel resistance increased. Scouts reported that PDF stores of weapons, fuel and ammunition were being raided by insurgent forces. Jeager radioed all groups to prepare for battle

PDF armoured fighting vehicles

When I got my transport trucks from Old Crow, I also took the opportunity to buy a bunch of the other tanks, as I enjoy their designs. However, while the trucks could be used just fine with some added rivets, the tanks were just way too small. Being more realistic 25mm scaled, their profile was […]

Battle for Vogen 05 – Relief column

A bullet from a sniper suddenly blew through a boarded-up window, interrupting his train of though. He picked up the comms unit again and keyed in HQ.
“I repeat, we are under heavy attack and have many wounded!”
“Negative 176. Hold position. 32/1 is enroute to reinforce.”
“But the rebels control the road! We must break out to meet them!”
“176, you have your orders. District 14 will be held.”

40k logistics truck

After finishing up the riveting work on these guys, I just couldn’t help myself and had to paint them up. With rivets added, I think they fit into the 40k universe perfectly. The rugged, aggressive design making even a logistics truck look menacing. The riveting work is not perfect, and I spot some areas that […]

WIP 40k Logistics / troop truck

Since my Vogen campaign for the time being is a low-intensity insurgency, I felt the need for adding some lighter vehicles to my PDF forces, so the renegades have something to ambush / capture in classic insurgency style. Looking for just a 40k truck has not been easy. I eventually found some vehicles that turned […]

Renegade Industrial Walkers

The renegade forces on Vogen, lacking a proper supply chain, often used civilian equipment in combat roles. Many of these “technicals” were almost as dangerous for their occupants as to the imperial forces. One of the more successful types of technicals were the ones based on industrial walkers. Khai-zen class walkers, normally used in construction, […]
